"Sewing, for me, is a valuable form of creative expression and each piece I make I view as a work of art in its own right. I find beauty in the unusual, in combining patterns and colours that may seem unexpected. My creations reflect my own aesthetics, my dreams, thoughts, books and poems I have read and above all, the music I listen to."

Frock On! is run by Christelle, a 25 year old clothing and accessories designer/maker currently living in Bristol, U.K.

Inspired by designers/artists such as Betsey Johnson and Cindy Sherman she discovered a passion for experimental sewing while studying for her degree in 2000 - "I was sick of seeing the same clothes and accessories everywhere I looked, and I love the idea of owning something unique that you won't see other girls - or boys! - wearing." She went on to study clothes making at the London College of Fashion and continues to update her skills in a variety of techniques."There is always something new out there to learn and I believe in putting my all into every piece i come up with." Christelle decided to start up her own independent fashion label in 2007 and so Frock On! was born.

Her pieces are a heady concoction of luxurious fabrics and bold retro prints, a head on collision of psychedelic neon dreamscapes and vintage glamour. Think the Merry Pranksters meets Blanche DuBois.
